What are essential oils?
Essential oils are highly effective substances in different plants, which are also responsible for the good fragrance of the plants. For example, if you go through a herb garden and hand over peppermint, Rosemary and Co. You smell the essential oils of herbs. Or if you go for a walk in the forest, especially on hot days or after rain, you perceive the wonderful scent of coniferous trees.
-
How do essential oils affect me?
Essential oils are small, natural power packages with different active ingredients. They are successfully used in aromatherapy and can positively influence body and psyche. Some seem really relaxing, like lavender oil. Others stimulate the circulation, for example rosemary oil.
-
What are synthetic fragrances?
Synthetic fragrances are artificially constructed substances in laboratories that are chemically produced. These substances imitate fragrances that cannot be obtained naturally, such as Apple blossom, peach or Lily. And it is rebuilt with the help of chemical fragrances, which can be obtained naturally, but which are insanely expensive, because the production is so elaborate, such as Rose or Jasmine.
-
How intense do your candles smell?
Scent perception is something very subjective. The fragrance intensity depends on various factors, size of the room, nasal sensitivity, and the day's condition. We use a higher percentage of essential and fragrance oils in our candles, so our candles give you a natural and deep fragrance experience in every moment.
-
Do all candles smell equally intense?
In combination, the fragrance intensity can vary. Patchouli or Vetiver have a heavy and intense fragrance as such this is used as base notes. The heart notes and are more important in the fragrance intensity, floral fragrances such as lavender or rose geranium, are among this. Easiest to evaporate and first to smell are more discreet fragrances or top notes, the various citrus oils belong to this group.
-
Why do not all candle manufacturers use essential oils?
Essential oils are sensitive and expensive. They are subject to natural fluctuations depending on the growing region, weather conditions and harvest times. This makes it difficult to achieve an exact, planned fragrance experience with them, which is what large corporations depend on. In addition - and most importantly for large candle manufacturers: synthetic fragrances are much cheaper compared to essential oils. We see the charm of nature in the natural variations of scent. Good wines also do not smell and taste the same every year - that is what makes them so interesting and special.
-
Are your candles intended for inside or outside?
Our candles are stylish, refined choice for both indoor and outdoor enjoyment. Thanks to our special mix of essential and fragrance oils, our candles create a particularly beautiful indoor climate. When used outdoors this effect is slightly reduced. Therefore, we have thought them more for indoor use.
-
What is vegetable wax?
Vegetable wax is a natural wax from renewable raw materials such as soya, rapes or coconut and therefore an alternative to paraffin wax, which is made from petroleum (yes, the same petroleum used to make oil and gas).
-
Do you use a vegetable wax?
YES. Paraffin, which is most often used as candle wax, is a petroleum product and is therefore fundamentally out of the question for us. Our own soy-rapeseed-coconut wax mixture is vegetable, renewable and have very good burning properties.
-
Which wicks do you use?
The selection of the right wick we have made by conducting many tests. We have chosen a wooden wick. The special feature is that this wick crackles. In addition to the fragrance experience, there is also the acoustic experience on top.
-
Aromatherapy, what?
Aromatherapy is the use of unadulterated essential oils to influence and relax the body. Essential oils have been used in aromatherapy for almost 6000 years. Peppermint, for example, stimulates circulation and lavender is a magic ingredient for relaxation.

Definitely! This is also the reason why we attach so much importance on the fact that our candles jar are made of high quality food-grade porcelain. The jar is easy to clean, as the vegetable wax used is very soft, non-toxic and easy to wash. Use the jar as a storage container for your coffee, sugar or linseed. Or even as a cup for your morning tea or coffee ritual. We ourselves also use them as drinking glasses.
-
How do I get my candle jar clean?
Great thing about vegetable wax; its very soft and you can easily clean the rests. Just put the jar in the warm oven at about 60-80 °C for about 10-15 min., when the residual wax melts you can easily empty it out. Carefully wipe out the warm jar with kitchen roll to take the last rest of the wax and wash it briefly with fat-soluble washing-up liquid. To be on the safe side, you can also sterilize your jar with the hot air method (30 min at 180 °C).
-
How long do your candles burn?
Our candles have a burning time of 40+ and 70+ hours. On the one hand, this is due to the good burning properties of vegetable wax. On the other hand, the candles are big with 285gr & 450gr filling quantity. Pay attention to the Candle Care Tips To really enjoy the candle for as long.

Where are your candles made?
All our candles are made in our Vienna Atelier, starting from the creation of fragrances, through casting to packaging. Our candles are handcrafted, and we add a lot of love and personalization into every candle that we make.

The best way to store the candle?
If you don't want to use your candle for a long time, you should store it standing, dark and cool. Our candle carton is best suited for this purpose. Thus, the candle remains protected from dust and the fragrance stays in a small space better than when the candle is free.
-
Does the candle smell even if it is not lit?
Yes, since the oils are evenly distributed throughout the candle and the candle smells even when it is not lit. However, the intensity of the scent is different because more scent molecules are released by the melting of the wax. Remember if the candle, stands longer without being lit, the fragrance on the surface becomes less overtime.
-
Could it be that I can't smell my candle?
Although the sense of smell is one of the most acute senses, your nose can get used to a fragrance, especially when you like it. Have you ever noticed that if you always use the same perfume, you can no longer smell it? It just means that your nose gets used to it, and thus it does not offer the same sensory stimulus any more. This can also happen with the candle scent. If you light a candle and leave the room and then come back, the scent will be clearer to perceive. It can also help if you ventilate the room properly and let fresh air into the room. The colder the air, the more intense the scent.
